Matt Allen, the eldest son of Mark Allen with W.H. Riley & Son of North Attleboro, MA, passed away on July 31, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer. Matt was only 42 years old and was one of the most promising and talented young leaders in the heating oil, biodiesel, and propane industry. Matt established himself as an articulate and passionate defender of our industry’s role in helping to lessen the impact of climate change with biodiesel. In February of last year, the Herald News published an opinion/editorial piece that Matt wrote that detailed the industry’s commitment to its customers and the environment.

To honor Matt’s legacy, all proceeds from the paid registrations for XBX Boston will be donated to Matt’s family and the Ryan and Annie Allen Education Fund.
